NORTH
POLE-TRANS POLAR BRIDGE, cruise to the arctic
13th
July - 30th July 2006
One of the few vessels in the world to reach the North Pole
in the arctic circle, the Yamal offers a combination of brute
power, advanced technology, and comfortable accommodations
and amenities to transport passengers on unforgettable polar
expeditions in comfort and safety. Passengers will find a
basketball court and gymnasium, heated indoor pool, library,
lecture hall, and comfortable cabins aboard the ship, as well
the opportunity to enjoy the view from the bridge, which is
open at all times. Zodiac landing crafts take passengers ashore,
while the ship's helicopter offers passenger the chance to
watch the ship smash through the ice from above.
Throughout your Arctic cruise, the Yamal's helicopter and
Zodiac landing craft will be available to expand the breadth
of your explorations, and an outstanding team of onboard lecturers
and naturalists will enhance your appreciation of the historical
and natural phenomena encountered. As well as being an incredibly
rugged vessel, the Yamal is also very sophisticated with thoroughly
comfortable accommodations, outstanding amenities, and excellent
cuisine.
